GNLC Radica

Radica is a true black from two greys and with a lineage uncommon to our region. He is exactly what we were looking for to add  another dimension to our herdsire row.

Both his sire, Silvertone and his dam, Windrose Celine are Canadian form Chilean lines. Silvertone, a very finely fleeced male, is jointly owned by Snowmass Alpacas and Great Northern Ranch in Montana, where he is part of the Rolfings grey breeding program. Windrose Celine was for many years a great producer for their program producing mainly black and grey offspring, all healthy and vigorous.

Radica is a handsome, calm, true black young herdsire. His fleece is buttery soft with a wonderful handle and brightness. His fiber is fine with uniform high frequency crimp along the staple and shows remarkable consistency from his top knot to his toes. His fiber statistics confirm  his excellent fiber characteristics with his third fleece giving the following results: AFD 22.8, SD 5.18, SF 22.5, 7.3%>30.
