A Canadian herdsire from Chilean lines, Silvertone is a beautiful medium rose grey. He is currently owned by Snowmass Alpacas and Great Norhtern Ranch in Montana.

We are delighted to add Snowmass Black N' Gold to our herdsire row. He is the son of Snowmass Escobar, one of Hemingway's best sons, out of a true black Peruvian import, 4Peruvian Viracocha, who was selected by Snowmass Alpacas during the imports and is now deceased. A producer of champion cria, he has a fabulous head, beautiful fleece, exemplary conformation and presence and personality plus!

Special Visitors

We were delighted to welcome Pauline Verbeck-Cowart, teacher and weaver "extraordinaire" from the Kansas City Art Institute with a group of 20  of her students. These yong ladies were all textile majors studying natural fibers under Pauline's direction.
