Don Montero

Don Montero is a really handsome male with that beautiful "Peruvian" head,  short muzzle and full topknot. He has heavy bone and solid muscular conformation. He also has a very even temperament and is easy to handle - a trait that he passes on to his offspring.

Don Montero exhibits longevity of quality fleece characteristics. He retained his superior fleece fineness and shear weight far into breeding adulthood. 

Montero's dam is Peruvian Sollocata, imported and owned by Pacific Crest Alpacas and a producer of show winning offspring from different males. Montero's sire is Accoyo Ppperuvian Augengate who had the honorable distinction of being the first pick from the 550 alpacas in the '95 Peruvian importation. He was exported to Australia after selling for a very large sum of money at the time, and has continued to produce multiple champions af all colors. Auzengate only had a handful of offspring in this country prior to being exported making his genetics a rarity in the US.
