Ari is everything you could ask for in a female. She has solid bone and a well balanced and perfectly proportioned body. She has an easy going personality yet holds her own in the herd.
Ari is a full Peruvian medium fawn female, with exceptional fleece characteristcs. At a young age and through her maturation, she has continued to maintain a fine and uniform fleece. Arialla carried a sub 20 micron into her third year of age. What is noticeable about Ari's fleece is it's density. When shearing, it comes off as smooth as silk, completely holding together. Many people have commented about the excellent handle of her fleece, which is not surprising to us. Ari's fineness and density are clearly traits we had hoped she would pass on to her cria and she definitely has.
Ari's dam, Blanch, carried her cria easily and was a heavy milker. Ari herself is an easy breeder, and has birthed five crias without incident, like clockwork. Ari, like her dam, is a heavy milker and IgG scores on her cria show excellent passive transfer. Ari's babies are very healthy and vigorous with excellent weight gain.
This spring Ari delivered her first female cria, a beautiful white girl by our award winning herdsire, Crescent Moon's Titanium. Snow in Summer weighed in at 24# and was on her feet within 30 minutes. Her fleece is beautiful, as you would expect from her parentage, with dense bundling fiber.
Ari is re- bred to Titanium for a fall 2009 cria. We are hoping for another spectacular result. Female too would be a great bonus!
